WHAT WE BELIEVE
The Bible
We believe the Bible is God's complete and sufficient revelation of Himself to man. It teaches us about Him and His plan of salvation, and serves as the ultimate authority for faith and life. The original manuscripts are without error or contradiction. (Dt 4:1-2; 17:19; Ps 19:7-10; Ps 119:11; Lk 21:33; 2 Tim 3:15-17; Heb 4:12; 2 Pet 1:19-21)
God
We believe there is only one living God, who is perfectly good, sovereign, and holy. He is one being in three persons, eternally distinct as Father, Son, and Spirit. The triune God works all things for His glory and our good. (Dt 6:4; 1 Sam 2:2; 1 Chron 29:11; Ps 22:28;115:3; Dan 4:35; Mt 3:16-17; 28:19; Jn 14:26; Rom 8:28; 11:36; 2 For 1:21-22; 1 Pet 1:2; Rev 4:11)
Man
We believe God created humanity in his image. But through disobedience, humanity fell from grace, bringing sin and death into the world. In this fallen and corrupted state, no one is inherently good. Thus, humanity cannot save itself from condemnation or live fully for God's glory. (Gen 1:26-27; Ps 51:5; Jer 17:5; Rom 3:23; 5:12; 6:23; 8:7; Eph 2:1-3; Col 1:21)
Salvation
We believe salvation is granted only to those who repent of their sins and place their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Through Christ's atoning death and resurrection, the elect are born again and reconciled to God. Those who are saved demonstrate this transformation through an intimate, personal relationship with Christ and a life of complete surrender to Him. Sanctification
We believe the Holy Spirit immediately dwells within every born-again believer and continually sanctifies us, shaping us into the likeness of the Son and preparing us for glory. Until history reaches its fulfillment and our salvation is complete, we continue to grow in our knowledge of God and in genuine fellowship with Him (Ps 37:24; Ezek 36:25-27; Rom 8:9-11, 17-18, 30; 1 Cor 6:19; 2 Cor 3:18; 2 Thess 1:12; 2:14; 2 Tim 2:10; 2 Pet 1:3-11)
The Church
We believe the church is the body of Christ, the gathered community of all who have been saved through Him. It is visibly seen in the regular assembly of His disciples, who have covenanted together to build up God's kingdom. Through the ordinances of baptism and the Lord's Supper, we affirm, strengthen, and guard one another's faith. (Mt 16:15-19; Lk 22:19-20; Acts 2:42; Rom 6:3-5; 1 Cor 5:4-5; 12:12-26; Eph 1:22-23; Col 1:18, 24)
Marriage
We believe marriage is God's ordained design and gift, uniting one man and one woman in a lifelong covenant relationship. Marriage uniquely reflects the union between Christ and His church. God has given husbands and wives distinct yet complementary roles within the family, while affirming their equal worth and value before Him. (Gen 1:26-28; 2:15-25; Prov 5:15-20; Mt 19:3-9; 1 Cor 7:1-16; Eph 5:21-33)
Last Things
We believe Christ Jesus will return for His Church and fully establish His Kingdom. He will judge every person. And He will grant all those who are saved through faith in Him everlasting life and fellowship with Him in heaven. But those who have rejected Him will face eternal punishment in hell, forever separated from God. (Mt 10:28; 16:27; Lk 12:40; Jn 5:28-29; Acts 24:15; 1 Cor 15:24-28; 2 Cor 5:10; 1 Thess 4:14-18; Rev 3:11)
